Adam Curry

Adam Clark Curry ( born September 3, 1964 in Arlington County, Virginia ) is an American- Dutch radio host.

In the seventies, he had his first experience in the radio business. Early eighties moderated Curry ( then still under the pseudonym John Holden ) English broadcasts at illegal radio stations in the Amsterdam region, including Picasso at Radio and Radio Decibel. He became known for the television show CountDown, which he at the age of 19 years for the 1st time on Dutch television (with Veronica ) hosted in 1984 and which was ultimately sent in 22 countries. In the Dutch radio he led the ZMorningZoo concept, by his employer Z100 one, but not as a morning show, but as Friday evening show, which he shared with his friend and colleague Jeroen van Inkel moderated ( "Curry & Van Inkel "). During this time, Curry also worked for the pan-European music channel Music Box. 1987 Curry began to work in the United States for the music channel MTV. In addition, he hosted the popular radio stations in whtz (Z -100) in New York.

After his radio and TV career Adam Curry studied acting, later he founded the company On Ramp Inc., an Internet start-up, but he sold two years later.

He is considered a key figure in the emergence of podcasting and the website mtv.com.

Curry lives in Austin, Texas, and is married since 2012 with the Dutch actress and artist Micky Hoogendijk ( b. 1970 ). By 2009, he was with the Dutch singer Patricia Paay ( b. 1949 ), married to a daughter which he ( Christina, * 1990).
