Adam Drury

Adam James Drury ( born August 29, 1978 in Cottenham ) is an English footballer.

Playing career

Peterborough United (1995-2001)

Adam Drury began his playing career in the 1995/96 season with the English third division side Peterborough United. After relegation from the Football League Second Division in 1997, he spent the next three seasons as a regular in the fourth division Football League Third Division. 1999/2000 returned to the team after a success in the play-offs in the third league back.

Norwich City (2001-2012)

On 21 March 2001, the 22 -year-old Adam Drury moved to second division club Norwich City. During the Football League First Division 2001/ 02 he came to thirty-five missions League and reached Norwich the play-offs. After a win over Wolverhampton Wanderers City reached the final, this game but lost on penalties against Birmingham City. Successful, the association of coach Nigel Worthington acted two years later by winning the second division championship. In the Premier League 2004 /05 Drury played thirty-three league games ( a hit ), but increased with City last but one back in the second division from. In the following four years, the services continuously deteriorated and resulted in the Football League Championship 2008/09 relegation to the third tier ( for the first time in 49 years ). Adam Drury was injured between 2007 and 2009 only twenty league games used. The trip to the third division was limited after winning the championship in the Football League One 2009/10 on only one season and after the runner-up in the Football League Championship 2010/ 11, the team coached by Paul Lambert and failed to march through to the Premier League. Adam Drury had suffered an injury again in October 2010, though his contract was extended two months later by a year.
