Adam Hauser

Adam Aaron Hauser ( born May 27, 1980 in Bovey, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey goalie who played in the 2011/12 season at the SC Bietigheim- Bissingen in the 2nd German Ice Hockey League.

Career

Hauser began his career at Greenway High School, with his team, he played in the Minnesota State High School League. 1997/98 he played for the U.S. junior national team. He then spent four years in the NCAA active for the University of Minnesota, where he also began a degree in economics. In the NHL Entry Draft 1999, he was pulled from the Edmonton Oilers and 81st in the third round. In 2002 he won the team title in the NCAA and was voted the best goalkeeper.

For the season 2002/ 03 he decided a change in the professional sector to the Providence Bruins, the farm team of the Boston Bruins in the American Hockey League. However, he moved to just one game to the Jackson Bandits in the East Coast Hockey League, where he was honored as the best rookie goalie. A year later, Hauser signed a contract with the Manchester Monarchs ( AHL ), where he spent the next three seasons. In the season 2005/ 06 he even received a commitment in the National Hockey League for the Los Angeles Kings, but conceded it six goals. In July 2006 he signed a one-year contract with the Cologne Sharks. When the sharks he convinced by strong performances, was at the end of the season the goalkeeper with the best catch rate of the League and became the DEL All- Star Game in 2007 invited. For the 2007 /08 season he played for the Adler Mannheim, where he also took over the position as first-choice goalkeeper. In the main round was a good support of the team, but faltered in the playoffs, whereupon one with Fred Brathwaite undertook a new goalkeeper in the summer of 2008. Because the contract between the Eagles and Hauser but was still valid until 2009, he was at first in the team to come but without the use. Only in October 2008, when the new season already under way for over a month, could be found with the Kassel Huskies a new employer for Hauser. After two years with the Huskies, the club went bankrupt in late summer 2010 and Hauser joined the Vienna Capitals in the Austrian EBEL, where he replaced the injured Jürgen Penker. Since 1 February 2012, he stands at the SC Bietigheim- Bissingen Steelers under contract.

In the summer months Hauser directs in his American home training camps for goalkeepers, especially for young players.
