Adam Ledwoń

Adam Ryszard Ledwoń ( born January 15, 1974 in Olesno, Poland, † June 11, 2008 in Klagenfurt, Carinthia, Austria ) was a football player with Polish and German nationality.

Life and career

Ledwoń began his career at MALAPANEW Ozimek in his home country, then he moved to Odra Opole. For the first time in the premier league he played at GKS ​​Katowice. After good performances there, he transferred to Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga, but he could not prevail in Leverkusen and was discharged together with Mehdi Pashazadeh to the second division Fortuna Cologne 1999. From here he moved in 2000 for the first time to Austria Austria Wien. In August 2002, he came to Admira Wacker, in 2005, he played for SK Sturm Graz. Caused a sensation in an incident in 2005, claimed as Ledwoń against Polish tabloid media, Dietmar Kühbauer had insulted him before the World Cup qualifier against Austria Poland because of his nationality. Kühbauer always denied this. For the 2007/2008 season Ledwoń changed to Carinthia to SK Austria Kärnten.

On 11 June 2008 Adam Ledwoń was found hanged in his apartment in Klagenfurt by his club -mate Patrick Wolf.
