Adam Mair

Adam Mair (born 15 February 1979 in Hamilton, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays on the right wing for the Springfield Falcons in the American Hockey League since October 2011.

Career

Mair was active from 1995 to 1999 for the Owen Sound Platers in the Ontario Hockey League, having previously played in the OJHL -B in Ohsweken. NHL Entry Draft 1997, he was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fourth round to 84th place.

Add to NHL Playoffs 1999, he was appointed as OHL players for five games in the squad the Maple Leafs and also completed three playoff games in the American Hockey League with the St. John 's Maple Leafs. The majority of the following season spent Mair in St. John's and was used eight times in the NHL. His first goal in the NHL scoring the Canadian end of November 2000 against the Washington Capitals. Shortly before the trade deadline in March 2001 Mair was transferred together with a second-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 in exchange for Aki- Petteri Berg to the Los Angeles Kings.

During the 2001/ 02 season, Mair went in 18 games for the Kings on the ice, he also played 27 games in the AHL for the Manchester Monarchs, the rest of the season he missed due to injury. In the summer of 2002, the Kings, Mair decided together with a fifth- round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 to transfer in exchange for Erik Rasmussen to the Buffalo Sabres. After this change Mair played in the course of his engagement in Buffalo never in the AHL, but was always at the NHL squad of Sabres. The season was 2003/ 04 his best when he scored six goals and 14 assists in 81 games. By the end of the season 2009/10 he was mostly through regular for the Sabres. In October 2010 he signed a contract with the New Jersey Devils, after he had taken part in the training camp and pre-season the Devils.

After the expiry of his contract in the summer of 2011, the Canadian was first out of contract before he signed a contract with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League for the 2011/12 season. Previously, the striker who was unsuccessful at the pre-season the Philadelphia Flyers, but without having to recommend for an engagement.

Internationally

Adam Mair was appointed captain of the U-20 national team that represented Canada at U20 World Junior Championship in 1999 and won a silver medal.
