Adam Rippon

Adam Rippon ( born November 11, 1989 in Scranton, Pennsylvania) is an American figure skater who starts in a single run.

Rippon is the oldest of six children. He was born deaf, but can hear almost perfect today after surgery at Yale University. At the age of ten years Rippon began with the figure skating after, took with him his mother, who went about the sport itself in the ice skating stadium.

Rippon was 2008 World Junior Champion and defended this title the following year, the first figure skater in history. His trainer was originally Jelena Sergejewna. In 2007 he moved to Nikolai Morozov. In 2008, he went to coach Brian Orser. Adam Rippon competes for Skating Club of New York.

2010 Rippon won the Four Continents Championships. Due to the cancellation of Evan Lysacek and Johnny Weir Rippon denied his first world championship in the seniors 2010 in Turin, where he was sixth at once.
