Adama Coulibaly

Adama Coulibaly (born 10 September 1980 in Bamako ) is a Malian football player who is since 2008 at AJ Auxerre under contract.

Career

Association

The career of Coulibaly began at the age of 18 years at the Malian football club Djoliba AC. In 1999 he moved to the French first division side RC Lens.

In his first season he played five games in the UEFA Champions League and it scored a goal. He played eight games and scored two goals in the UEFA Intertoto Cup and 17 games and a goal in the UEFA Cup. In Ligue 1 he was a regular player and one of the main performers in the team RC Lens. Overall, he came in nine years to 191 league games, scoring nine goals for RC Lens.

In 2008 he moved to league rivals AJ Auxerre. There Coulibaly played in his first season, 30 games and scored one goal.

National

Coulibaly took part several times since 2002, with the national team of Mali at major events. 2002, 2004 and 2008, he stood at the Africa Cup of Nations, in the qualifying rounds for the World Championships in 2006 and 2010 he was a regular for the starting eleven in the squad. Overall Coulibaly completed at least 28 matches for Mali.
