Adamite (Hebrew אדמית ) is a kibbutz in northern Israel's Galilee near the Lebanese border; He has about 100 inhabitants.

History

Adamite was originally founded in 1958 by members of the Socialist- Zionist youth organization Hashomer Hatzair. 1967, the kibbutz was abandoned and in 1971 settled by immigrants from Britain, the U.S. and Canada again, after they had a year in Kibbutz Mishmar haEmek prepared.

Economy

Formerly operated nor raising chickens and cultivated tobacco, wine and bananas, the inhabitants earn their living today mainly by agriculture and the cultivation of orchard and avocados. In addition, the kibbutz operates, a metal factory and a guest house for tourists.
