Adams Island, New Zealand
Adams Iceland is an island belonging to New Zealand Auckland Islands.
The south end of the island group is up to 26 km wide. Here separates a narrow channel, the Carnley Harbour ( on some maps also Adams Straits ), the main island of the Auckland Iceland almost triangular island Adams Iceland.
The area of the island is 61.3 km ², mostly mountains, which according to other data obtained with the Mount Dick a height of 705 meters, only 668 meters above the sea.
The canal is the remains of an extinct volcano; Adams Iceland and the southern part of the main island are part of the former crater rim.
