Adams Prize

The Adams - Price ( engl. Adams Prize ) is awarded annually by the University of Cambridge and St John 's College at Cambridge University for outstanding mathematical achievements in one or more young (usually under the age of 40 years), living in United Kingdom (UK based) mathematician awarded. Previously it was an award for mathematicians and theoretical physicists at the University of Cambridge, and for submitting an essay (Adams Prize Essay ). It was donated in 1848 to the share of John Couch Adams in the discovery of Neptune in memory. The price is 14,000 pounds doped ( stand 2013), a third of which goes to the institution at which the mathematician is employed.
