ADC Airlines

Aviation Development Company or ADC Airlines was a Nigerian airline from Ikeja in Nigeria, led by the national line and regional charter flights. Homebase was the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.

History

The airline was founded in 1984, but only began in January 1991 with charter flights. From 1992 she also led by scheduled flights. As a result of the crash on 29 October 2006 she was withdrawn from the operating license.

ADC Airlines operated a fleet of Boeing different patterns.

Accidents

  • On November 7, 1996, a Boeing 727-200 crashed on the way from Port Harcourt to Lagos. All 142 passengers were killed.
  • On 29 October 2006, set with 104 passengers Boeing 737-200 airline crashed near the airport in the Nigerian capital Abuja. In this case, 97 people were killed. Seven people survived the accident. Also politicians and spiritual leaders of the country such as Mohammadu Maccido were on board. Cause of the misfortune to have been bad weather in which the pilot started despite previous warnings.
