Adderly Fong

Adderly Fong Chun- Yu (Chinese方 骏 宇; born March 2, 1990 in Vancouver, Canada ) is a Hong Kong - Chinese racing driver. In racing, it occurs mainly with Chinese racing license. He started in 2013 in the GP3 Series.

Career

Fong began his motor racing career in Formula racing in 2006. He started in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge, finishing in 22nd place overall. He also debuted in the Asian Formula Renault V6. He stepped in to two races and finished the season with a third place in eleventh place. In 2007, he contested the full season in the Asian Formula Renault V6. With a second place he finished sixth.

2008 Fong moved to Europe and started in the German Formula 3 Cup. He remained in his first season with no points. He also completed guest appearances in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge. After a few stages of the New Zealand Toyota Racing Series was started in winter 2008/2009 and was 13 in the overall standings, he returned to the German Formula 3 Cup. With a fifth place as best result, he finished 16th overall.

2010 Fong moved to the British Formula 3 Championship. After he had remained almost the entire season with no points, he scored at the season finale with a fourth place finish his first points placement. He finished the season in 16th place overall. He then took part in a race weekend of the Superleague Formula for assisted by Atech Reid and team PSV Eindhoven. 2011 Fong denied his second season in the British Formula 3 Championship for Sino Vision Racing. A seventh place was his best result and he was 22 in the driver standings. In addition, he participated in the Macau Grand Prix.

2012 Fong joined in the Auto GP World Series Ombra Racing. He thus became the first Chinese pilot of this series. He participated in two events and a seventh place was his best result. At the end of the season, he finished 21st overall. In addition, he returned for three events back to the rookie class of the British Formula 3 and debuted in the Indy Lights. In addition to its involvement in Formula Sports Fong took 2012 GT also makes cups part. He was behind Marchy Lee Second Chinese Audi R8 LMS Cup and 20th the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup. For the 2013 season Fong received a full-time cockpit in the GP3 Series with Status Grand Prix. As the best full-time pilot of his racing team he finished the season on top of the 21 overall. He dropped out of an event due to an overlap with its commitment in GT racing. He enters 2013 still in Chinese Audi R8 LMS Cup and the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup.
