Addled Parliament
As the barren Parliament (English: " addled parliament" ) refers to the 1614 King James I of England convened session of Parliament.
Parliament - John Eliot and Thomas Wentworth moved in about the first time in the - failed due to the blazing conflict with King James I, the granting of additional taxes ( subsidies ) promised. However, this would only give in return for concessions in the area of foreign and religious policies Parliament. Such concessions, in turn, refused to James I, because they affected his royal prerogative.
Against this background - an agreement proved impossible - sparked James I. Parliament after only a few sessions and a total session time of only eight weeks on, from which the name Barren Parliament results.
