Adelaide Peninsula

Geographical location

The Adelaide Peninsula (English Adelaide Peninsula ) is a sparsely populated peninsula at the center of the Canadian territory of Nunavut.

It is connected by means of the McCrary - isthmus with the mainland. The peninsula encloses the Sherman Basin, an inland bay on the size of Lake Constance, which is connected via the Sherman Inlet with the Queen Maud Gulf.

North of Adelaide Peninsula is the King William Island, which is separated from the Simpson Street and Storispassage. These straits flow in the Queen Maud Gulf and into Victoria Street.
