Adelphi Records

Adelphi Records is an independent American record label which was founded by Eugene Rosenthal in Silver Spring in 1968 and operated until today.

Well-known artists who have made on this versatile label recordings, on the first blues musicians such as Roy Book Binder, Roy Buchanan, RL Burnside, David Honeyboy Edwards, Paul Geremia, Mississippi John Hurt, Skip James, Furry Lewis, Little Brother Montgomery and Bukka White ( blues). Since 1977, jazz activities are recorded, are at the center of Lenny Breau, Reuben Brown and Richie Cole; but there are also albums by Steve Lacy, David Murray, Jessica Williams and Phil Woods. Other areas include the Gospel field ( Rev. Gary Davis and Rev. Robert Wilkins ), the Reggae area ( Yellowman, Big Youth and Toots & the Maytals ) and rock music ( The Nighthawks and Catfish Hodge ).
