Adenbach
Adenbach is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Lauter corners.
Geography
The place is in Odenbachtal in North Palatine Uplands in Western Palatinate. To Adenbach includes the living space Brucherhof.
In the west and the north the municipality borders on Adenbach Odenbach, on the east by Becherbach, to the south Ginsweiler and Cronenberg.
History
In 1957, the remains of a house dating from the Roman period have been found. The first mention of Adenbach was in 1379 in a charter of the county Veldenz. The place name derives from the flowing stream, which was formerly called Adolf Bach.
From 1816 to Adenbach belonged to the Kingdom of Bavaria and was part of the canton Lauterecken in the Rhine district. In 1840 the city had 37 houses and 296 inhabitants. He was assigned to the Catholic parish Reipoltskirchen or the Protestant parish Odenbach.
