The Sticky glands broom ( Adenocarpus viscosus ) is a species of the genus glands broom ( Adenocarpus ) and belongs to the legume family ( Fabaceae ).

Description

The evergreen shrub reaches a height between 30 and 100 centimeters. The growth is often spread out flat but also upright. The dark green leaves are trifoliate and are very dense. The narrow leaves are rolled over the edge, on both sides densely kurzwollig and sticky.

The yellow flowers have a balding flag, which is about 12 mm long. The glandular - warty cup has only a few simple hair. Bloom time is in May. The legume is densely covered with protruding glands and hairs scattered.

Occurrence

The Sticky glands broom is endemic to the Canary Islands, La Palma, La Gomera and Tenerife. As a location, the upper pine forest stage is preferably at altitudes from 1900 to 2200 meters. On La Palma, this species is forming stands on the top step height. In Tenerife, the Glutinous Broom glands, especially in the Cañadas del Teide is growing.
