Adewale Olukoju

Adewale Olukoju ( born July 27, 1968 in Zaria ) is a former Nigerian shot putter and discus thrower.

In 1987, he won both disciplines at the Pan-African Games in Nairobi. In 1988 he won at the African Championships in Annaba gold in the discus throw and bronze in the shot put. At the Olympic Games in Seoul, he was eliminated in the qualifying in the discus throw.

At the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland he triumphed in the discus throw and won a silver medal in the shot put. The following year, he won the discus throw at the Universiade and Eleventh at the IAAF World Championships in Tokyo. The Pan-African Games in Cairo Gold followed in the discus throw and silver in the shot put.

In the Africa Championships in 1992 in Belle Vue Maurel he won his second title in the discus throw and the bronze medal in the shot put.

In the 1993 Universiade and the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, he won two silver medals in the discus throw. In 1995, he was sixth at the World Championships in Tokyo and won for the dendrites times in a row at the Pan-African Games. At the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta he did not make it past the first round.
