Adhemar Canavesi

Adhemar Canavesi, partly out as Adhemar Canavessi, (* August 18, 1903, † 14 November 1984) was a Uruguayan football player.

Association

The Canavesi used as a defender played at least in the years 1927-1928 for the montevideanischen Club Bella Vista, with whom he came in tenth and ninth place in the table at the end of the season. Addition, he was in 1931, 1932 and 1934 the squad of Club Atlético Peñarol in La Liga on. During this period the Aurinegros won the Uruguayan championship in 1932, respectively. This was the first created title after the introduction of professional football in Uruguay.

National

Canavesi was also a member of the Uruguayan national team. Overall, he graduated from his debut on July 14, 1925 until his last game for the Celeste on June 7, 1928 nine internationals. He not scored one goal here. He participated with the national team at the 1927 South American Championship. Uruguay finished second behind the Argentine selection. Canavesi worked in two encounters with. In tournament game against Argentina on November 20, 1927 he underwent an own goal to 2:3 draw. With the Summer Olympic Games in 1928 and the cadre of Celeste Canavesi celebrated his biggest career success. The team was Olympic champion. Canavesi played a game as part of the Olympic tournament.
