Adirondack Phantoms

The Adirondack Phantoms are an American Hockey franchise from Glens Falls, New York. They play since the 2009/10 season in the American Hockey League.

History

The Adirondack Phantoms are the new AHL farm team of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League after this cooperation with their former farm team, the Philadelphia Phantoms, according to the 2008/ 09 season due to the demolition of the Wachovia Spectrum in which the Philadelphia Phantoms their AHL games had fought had to end.

On 4 February 2009 it was announced that Comcast Spectator, the former owner of the Philadelphia Phantoms, the franchise will sell at "The Brooks Group " from Pittsburgh. On 28 April 2009, the AHL Board of Governors of the application by the Brooks Group was held to relocate the franchise to Glens Falls, New York. There it is in accordance with the Adirondack Red Wings, up to 1999, played in the city in 1979, only the second AHL franchise ever.
