Administrative divisions of Leningrad Oblast

The Leningrad Oblast in Federal District North-West Russia of the Russian Federation is divided into 17 Rajons and the urban district of Sosnovy Bor (as of 2014). The administrative headquarters is located in the city of Saint Petersburg, which does not belong to the oblast, but an independent federal subject is, which is surrounded by the Oblast.

The Rajons are divided into a total of 61 municipalities ( gorodskoje posselenije ) and 142 rural municipalities ( selskoje posselenije ).

Urban districts

The county comprises only one locality, the eponymous city Sosnovy Bor It lies on the coast of the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea, surrounded by the territory of Lomonossowski rayon ( number 11 in the map).
