Administrative divisions of the Sakha Republic
The Autonomous Republic of Sakha (Yakutia ) in Siberia (Russia) is divided into 34 Rajons and 2 urban districts.
At last changes occurred in the context of the performed throughout Russia reform of local self-government from 2003 in the Republic of Sakha concerned in particular the earlier administration of the Republic of direct reports ( rajonfreien ) cities except the capital Yakutsk. :
- Mirny and Njurba were placed under the same Rajons whose management seats they had previously
- Pokrowsk was assigned to the Rajon Changalasski and its administrative seat ( previously Mochsogolloch )
- A city district with the dimensions of a Rajons and administrative headquarters in Nerjungri was converted into a normal Rajon
In contrast, the earlier capital Yakutsk imputed urban-type settlement Schatai was spun off into an independent urban district.

Rajons
Following the Turkic word Ulus ( "people" ) and the Mongolian word uls ( " State") refers to the Rajons the Republic in Russian as Ulus. On the Yakut Rajons with the Yakut version of the word Uluuha be called.
Four Ulusse which are predominantly inhabited by members of other indigenous minorities call themselves Nationalulus or - rayon:
- Nationalulus Anabar: Dolgan and Evenki
- Nationalulus Eweno - Bytantaiski: Evens
- Nationalulusse Olenjok and Shigansk: Evenki

Note: a number of earlier settlements of urban type still executes the corresponding OKATO code, however, has in recent years by laws of the Republic of Sakha ( Yakutia) to villages downgraded ( Bolshoi Nymnyr and Yllymach rajon in Aldanski, Saretschny in Oljokminski ulus ) or abandoned ( Elginski, Nelkan and Predporoschny in Oimjakonski ulus, Brindakit and Ynyktschanski in Ust- Maisky ulus ).
