Admir Mehmedi

Admir Mehmedi (born 16 March 1991 Gostivar ) is a Swiss football player of Macedonian descent.

Career

The striker emigrated with his family, Macedonian origin, in 1993 from Gostivar, Macedonia to Switzerland. After seven years in Bellinzona, where he also starred in the youth of AC Bellinzona, he moved to FC Winterthur.

FC Zurich

In 2006 he moved from FC Winterthur in the youth department of FC Zurich. Since 2008, he was able to win the trust of head coach Bernard Challandes. This was enough to some part inserts in the A-team, where he was able to achieve two goals. In addition Mehmedi was charged with 11 league inserts in the 2008 /09 season, Swiss champion. During the 2010/11 season Mehmedi regulars was FCZ and shot in 33 national and also international matches ten goals.

FK Dynamo Kiev

On 6 January 2012, the FC Zurich announced on his website that Mehmedi will leave the club with immediate effect in the direction of Kiev. National

After numerous operations in the U- 17 and U-21 national team of Switzerland he was first called up in May 2011 for the senior national team and had 4 June 2011 his first cap with the Swiss national team in the European Championship qualifier England - Switzerland ( 2:2 ).

With the Swiss U- 21 team before he could qualify for the U-21 European Championship 2011 in the year. In May 2011, he was nominated by U-21 coach Pierluigi Tami for the preliminary squad.
