Admittance

The admittance from the Latin " admittere " to German "assume", even complex conductance, is in electrical engineering, the reciprocal of the impedance:

The admittance is a complex quantity, which consists of the real part, the conductance ( conductance ) G and the imaginary, the susceptance ( susceptance ) B. The amount of the admittance is called the admittance Y.

The SI unit of admittance is given in S ( Siemens).

At the result of the above calculation it is seen that the conductance and susceptance generally does not result from the reciprocal of the real and imaginary part of the impedance.
