Ådne Søndrål

Ådne Søndrål ( born May 10, 1971 in Notodden ) is a former Norwegian speed skater.

He was one of the best 1500 -meter runners in the 1990s. He won at the Olympic Games in 1992 and took the silver medal at the Games in his Norwegian home in fourth place. 1998 in Nagano he won the gold medal with a new world record. In the 1000 meters, it was well liked, but could not participate in the race due to illness. After this success Søndrål ærespris was awarded the Oscar Mathisen Memorial Trophy and the Fearnleys olympiske.

2002 in Salt Lake City, he won at the end of his career once again the bronze medal over 1500 meters.

Søndrål is athlete ambassador of development organization Right to Play.
