Adobe ImageReady

ImageReady is the image editing program Adobe Photoshop supplied separately utility. It can be from within the Photoshop call and is mainly used for processing or provision of web graphics. ImageReady is since 1999 part of Photoshop (version 5.5) and has thereby experienced minor changes over the years again and again. Since version Photoshop CS3 functionality of ImageReady is partially integrated into Photoshop. Some functions - such as rollover effects - were set to integrate with Photoshop CS3.

Similarities and differences to Photoshop

ImageReady is Photoshop equipped with a toolbar and a menu program. In many ways, the functions with Photoshop are also identical, so there is, as in Photoshop, file, filter, levels, picture, selection, Help and Edit menu, etc. Different, however, is the Slice menu in Photoshop missing. Photoshop has only the tools slices. The toolbar is, unlike Photoshop, more is applied to Webangelegenheiten and therefore contains certain tools that are missing in Photoshop. These include: the tab rectangle tool and the oval rectangle tool, beside the still image map and slices tools. Furthermore, there are certain pallets, which is missing in Photoshop, this includes, inter alia, the Image Map palette, palette optimization, the table range, the Webinhaltspalette and the slices palette. One can from this clearly shows that the emphasis is placed on the processing of web graphics.
