Adolf Friedrich Hesse

Adolf Friedrich Hesse ( born August 30, 1809 in Breslau, † August 5, 1863 ) was a German organist and composer.

Hesse was in Breslau student of organist Friedrich Wilhelm Berner and Ernst Köhler and in 1831 the first organist at the local church Bernhardi. Hesse was in Germany as an important organist, wrought in Paris and London causes a stir with his virtuoso pedal play. In Breslau he also conducted the symphony concerts of the opera orchestra. Among his pupils was Jacques -Nicolas Lemmens, the teacher of Alexandre Guilmant and Charles -Marie Widor.
