Adolf II, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe

Adolf II, Prince of Schaumburg -Lippe ( born February 23, 1883 in Hagen, † March 26, 1936 in Mexico) was from 1911 to 1918 last ruling Prince of Schaumburg -Lippe. In the few years of his reign he coined as the owner of the cityscape of Bad Eilsen. He abdicated on 15 November 1918.

Life

His parents were Prince Georg of Schaumburg -Lippe (1846-1911) and Marie Anne of Saxe-Altenburg (1864-1918), daughter of Prince Moritz of Saxe- Altenburg.

The construction of the massive mausoleum Biickeburg was the beginning of the construction of a large museum and art site in Biickeburg and Bad Eilsen. We exported the Princely Art Crafts School, later emerged that Prince Adolf Workshop for Art Pottery from, and the Prince's School of Music in Biickeburg, later Army music school. His youngest brother Friedrich Christian, Prince of Schaumburg -Lippe, adjutant of Joseph Goebbels, spoke out against letting the wife be buried in Bückeburger mausoleum next to her husband, because she was not " Aryan origin ".

At that time her home was on Brioni (then Italy, now Croatia). In Germany, her home was in the villa in Schaumburg Höllriegelskreuth ( Pullach ).
