Adolf Lindenbaum

Adolf Lindenbaum ( born June 12, 1904 in Warsaw, † September 1941 in Paneriai ) was a Polish logician and mathematician of Jewish descent, who was connected to the Lvov -Warsaw School.

He studied mathematics at Waclaw Sierpiński, its scientific priorities were set theory and mathematical logic. His best known works are Lindenbaum's Lemma and Lindenbaum - Tarski algebra. He was a professor at the University of Warsaw. In September 1941, he was assassinated in Paneriai ( Ponar ) in Vilnius by the Nazis.
