Adolf Michael Boehm

Adolf Michael Boehm ( born February 25, 1861 in Vienna, † February 20, 1927 in Klosterneuburg ) was an Austrian painter and graphic artist.

Life

Adolf Michael Boehm studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. He was one of the founders of the Vienna Secession, which he left in 1905 but again. He then participated in the construction of Klosterneuburger Künstlerbund. He was a patron of Egon Schiele. From 1910 to 1925 he was professor of nudes and nature studies at the Vienna School of Applied Arts. He was also active in the Arts, in furniture design and manufacture of ceramics. In his works he used a distinctive ornamental style.
