Adolphe Joanne

Adolphe Joanne ( born September 15, 1813 in Dijon, † March 1, 1881 in Paris) was a French geographical writers.

Adolphe Joanne lawyer in 1836 in Paris, but it soon turned to journalism. A trip to Switzerland and the Black Forest prompted him in 1841 to draw up a travel guide, which was the starting point for a whole series of similar and partly extensive works, not only to the most interesting places and landscapes of France, but also in Germany, England, Switzerland, Orient extend and were often hung up.
