Adolphus Warburton Moore

Adolphus Warburton Moore ( * July 12, 1841; † February 2, 1887 ) was a British civil servant and mountaineer.

Adolphus Warburton Moore was the son of Major John Arthur Moore and Sophia Stewart Yates. He was from 1858 to 1887 in the India Office official and private secretary to Lord Randolph Churchill.

  • June 25, 1864: Barre des Ecrins with Edward Whymper and Horace Walker, and the leaders of Michel Croz, Christian Almer Christian Almer the elder and the younger.
  • June 28, 1865: Piz Roseg with Horace Walker and Jakob Anderegg the leader.
  • July 6, 1865: Obergabelhorn with Horace Walker and Jakob Anderegg.
  • July 9, 1865: Pigne d' Arolla with Horace Walker and Jakob Anderegg.
  • July 15, 1865: Brenvasporn on Mont Blanc with George Spencer Mathews, Frank and Horace Walker and Jakob and Melchior Anderegg the leaders.
