Adpositional phrase

A prepositional phrase, abbreviated PP, is in linguistics, a phrase ( group of words ), whose Head is a preposition:

  • Preposition and a noun phrase

Examples:

  • Over a slow snail away
  • Behind the big cupboard
  • Preposition adverb

Example: before tomorrow

  • Preposition Pro - adverb
