Adrian Amstutz

Adrian Amstutz ( born December 2, 1953 in Sigriswil; native entitled ibid. ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and politician (SVP ).

Life

Amstutz is co-owner and managing director of architecture and construction management offices Amstutz Abplanalp Birri AG. Since 23 May 2008, he is President of the Central Association of Swiss Commercial Vehicle Astag and belongs to the Executive Board of Swiss Olympic on.

Adrian Amstutz is married and has three children. In the Swiss army, he held the rank of corporal.

Policy

Adrian Amstutz was from January 1993 to May 1998 council president of Sigriswil, then parliament of the canton of Bern. In the 2003 elections he was elected to the National Council and confirmed in the 2007 elections with the best result of all candidates in the canton of Bern. Amstutz was from March 2008 to May 2012 one of five vice-presidents of the SVP Switzerland. From the SVP of the Canton of Bern, he was proposed in November 2008 together with Andreas Aebi candidate for the succession of Federal Councillor Samuel Schmid.
