The school hours in which he had to write freely, have " helped a lot, especially in terms of creativity," according to his own statements. After his return to Germany he felt " the desire to share my thoughts and feelings going on to implement to realize and suddenly found myself in this crazy bunch of musicians again." In 1989 he founded with Alistair Kane the project, Diary of Dreams, and from 1992 to 1997, he was the bass player for the German gothic rock band Garden of Delight.
