Adrian Mariappa (2011)

Adrian Mariappa ( born October 3, 1986 in Harrow, London ) is a Jamaican -born England international footballer and currently plays for Crystal Palace.

Playing career

Adrian Mariappa began his playing career in the youth academy of FC Watford in England. He made his debut on 23 August 2005 in the League Cup against Notts County.

On August 19, 2006 Mariappa was first in the Premier League, in the away defeat at Everton, taking into account in a Ligaspielstartelf. He was, however, after 45 minutes, replaced by Jay DeMerit. This season, he completed a total of 19 league games.

After the descent from Watford in the Premier League in 2007, Adrian Mariappa a regular in the defense of Watford FC and a member of the team committee. He is also vice captain. On 12 September 2009, he led his team against Barnsley FC for the first time as captain on the pitch. In the second division of England Mariappa is one of the top performers of his team. In July 2012, Mariappa left the Watford FC and moved to Reading FC in the Premier League.

His international debut for the national team of Jamaica was the defender on 19 May 2012.
