Adrian Smith (architect)

Adrian Smith ( born August 19, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American architect. His works include, among others, the Burj Khalifa, which currently is the tallest building in the world with a height of 828 meters.

Smith studied at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture in 1969.

From 1967 he worked for almost four decades for Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, most recently as a partner until he with Gordon Gill and Robert Forest founded his own office in 2006.
