Adriana Behar

Adriana Brandão Behar ( born February 14, 1969 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ) is a former Brazilian beach volleyball player, two-time world champion and two -time silver medalist at the Olympic Games.

Career

As Hall volleyball player Adriana Behar began her career at Flamengo. She played one season in Portugal and two years in Italy before she started her volleyball career. The win a bronze medal at the FIVB tour was the biggest success of 1993 beginning three-year collaboration by Magda Lima and Adriana Behar, who played her first tournament with Shelda Bede the end of 1995. Since then the two Brazilians won 31 FIVB tournaments, twice the world championships in 1999 and 2001. 1999, the two South Americans were also winners at the Pan American Games. At the Olympic Games in 2000 and 2004, Adriana / Shelda reached the final, but subject both times. Six times they were the FIVB Tour Champion, five times continuously in the years 1997 to 2001.
