Life

Benetti received after her degree in acting at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia the offer for the main role in Vittorio De Sica's Teresa Venerdi, in her written on the body of a shy and sensible Teresa earned a great success. However, this success also meant that their next film roles offered only blueprints of this characterization, and she was again and again cast as sensitive, reticent young woman. The brown-haired, delicate and always melancholic acting Benetti has been so throughout the decade to embody the Italian fiance; to escape this stereotype, she turned after almost ten years of cliche fulfillment (only the resulting 1947 tombolo, paradiso nero offered with the figure of a to overcome the Nachkriegsnot driven into prostitution young woman one at the tills rather unsuccessful outbreak thereof) abroad and turned in Spain and Argentina, including the first Argentine film with international recognition and awards, Bloody water. After 1957 no longer active, it is almost forgotten today.

1947 Benetti had caused a minor scandal when she posed in a bikini for the weekly magazine "Tempo illustrato ".
