Adriano Guarnieri (composer)

Adriano Guarnieri ( born September 10, 1947 in Sustinente / Mantua ) is an Italian composer.

Guarniere studied at the Conservatory of Bologna, composition with Giacomo Manzoni and choral music at Tito Gotti. He worked as director of the Ensemble Nuovo " Bruno Maderna " in Florence. Later, he taught composition at the conservatories of Florence, Pesaro and present Milan.

In his compositions Guernieri used frequently works by Pier Paolo Pasolini. At the Venice Biennale in 1995, was created in collaboration with Giovanni Raboni work Quare tristis was performed. In 2003 he was awarded the Franco Abbiati music criticism for its multimedia film opera Medea.
