Adrienne Clarkson

Adrienne Clarkson, PC, CC ( born February 10, 1939 in Hong Kong, née Adrienne Louise Poy ) is a journalist, Schriftstellerinin and diplomat. In 1942 she came with her parents to Canada. From 7 October 1999 to 27 September 2005, she was the Governor General of Canada and represented in this office Queen Elizabeth II as head of state.

In 1988 she received an honorary doctorate from Dalhousie University.
