Criticism

In addition to the above-mentioned Special applies Advanzia Bank unusual contract terms and conditions:

  • The minimum deposit on the money market account is 5000 euros. From a deposit of 5000 Euro, the entire balance will earn interest from the first euro. If the deposit is less than this amount, no interest will be credited.
  • If the customer the minimum amount of the credit card bill in due time (date to be shown in invoice) pays a reminder fee of 4,90 EUR will be charged.
  • The nominal interest rate on outstanding credit card balances is 19.94 % pa for cash withdrawals 23,70 % pa (variable). These rates are in some cases considerably above those of competing credit card issuers.
  • About Assigns the customer at maturity is less than the total amount or he pays after the due date, the bank calculates interest on debt from the transaction date, as well as for cash withdrawals. This results in slight delays or only slightly below the total past payments to a disproportionate interest burden, because interest rates are now suddenly no more from maturity on the outstanding amount, but calculated retroactively from the transaction date to the entire amount, including the timely part.

The Advanzia Bank will therefore repeatedly criticized. Thus, the district court singing saw on 1 June 2011 in the borrowing rate calculation an unreasonable disadvantage of the customer if the payment only a slightly lesser amount was exceeded by only a very short period of time or may be paid, and thus interest from the transaction date will be invoiced. In order to take account of this criticism, Advanzia Bank sees on the calculation of interest on debt, if it is only a slightly delayed compensation (3-5 days after the due date ) or an erroneous and low - Too little payment (eg transposed digits ) concerns. Customers of the credit card that comply with the terms of the bank can save costs compared to products of other banks, particularly through the elimination of the usual fees, such as annual fees, foreign assignment fee and Barabhebungsgebühr.
