The AEC command vehicle was a 1941 used in the service of the British Army armored command vehicle for the management and coordination of the armored force in the field and in battle, the British bus and commercial vehicle manufacturer Associated Equipment Company.

History

The tests with tanks as command vehicles for the armored force applied, because of the unresolved problem space rather unsatisfactory results. One of the first armored command vehicles of the British Army, was produced in 1940 by Guy Guy Lizard engine.

The AEC was significantly greater than the Lizard Guy of the spatial dimensions and had the nickname of Dorchester, after a famous luxury hotel in London.

It is all-wheel drive spacious three -axle as armored bus, describe based on a truck chassis. He was in the versions AEC HP ( high power ) and AEC LP (Low Power ) offered.

In the various versions of a total of 415 units of the vehicle were produced.
