Aegialeus (King of Sicyon)

Aigialeus (Greek Αἰγιαλεύς ) In Greek mythology, the son of the river god Inachus and Melia Oceanid and brother of Phoroneus. After a Scholion he is the son of Phoroneus and Peitho.

According to him, the later Achaia Aigialos was called. He founded the city Aigialeia, later Sicyon, and ruled as the first king over the land. Pausanias mentions as son and successor Europs, after the Libraries of Apollodorus he remained childless and Phoroneus became ruler.
