Aegilips

Aigilips ( Ἀιγίλιψ ancient Greek ) is a town in Greek mythology.

In the Catalogue of Ships in Homer's Iliad she is called as one of the Odysseus humble villages. After a localization attempt of the ancient geographers Strabo Aigilips was together with the also mentioned in the catalog of ships and places Neritos Krokyleia on the Ionian island of Leucas, while the grammarian Stephanos of Byzantium places all three locations on the Ionian island of Ithaca.
