Aegospotami
Aigos Potamoi, also Aigos Potamos (Greek for " goat River " ) in ancient times was a river and a town on the Thracian Chersonese, the Gallipoli Peninsula, on the Hellespont ( Dardanelles ).
The place is known by the naval victory of the Spartans under Lysander over the Athenians (405 BC), which ended the Peloponnesian War.
