Aelita Prize

The Aelita Prize (Russian Премия " ​​Аэлита » ) is a Russian Literature Prize for achievements in the field of fantastic literature. It was donated in 1981 by the literary magazine Uralski Sledopyt ( Уральский следопыт ) and the Association of Russian writers ( Союз писателей РСФСР ). The award is named after Alexei Tolstoy 1923 erschienenem science- fiction novel Aelita.

The prize is awarded on the year in Yekaterinburg organized by Uralski Sledopyt (until 1991 Sverdlovsk ) Aelita Festival. The recipient of the award is determined by a jury. Originally, the prize for the best published in the previous two years book was awarded; since a change in the rules of 1997, the award ceremony takes place instead of the entire oeuvre of a writer.

  • Ivan Yefremov - Prize for contributions to the development of Russian Fantasy (awarded since 1987)
  • The starting price for the best literary debut (awarded since 1989)
  • The Vitali - Bugrow Prize for editorial, bibliographical and literary-critical services (awarded since 1997)
  • The Igor - Chalymbadscha - Order of the Knights of fantasy for contributions to the development of the Russian fan culture (awarded since 2002)
