Aello

Aello (Greek Ἀελλώ, Bride of the Wind ) is a Harpy of Greek mythology:

As the daughter of Thaumas and Electra was Aello one of the harpies, which were sent by the gods to - even by force - to make peace and to enforce punishments for crimes. They were depicted as winged beauties, kidnapped at later times as ugly old women with sharp claws, the people of the underworld, to torture there.
