Aeneas Coffey

Aeneas Coffey (* 1780 in Dublin, Ireland, † November 26, 1852 in England) was an Irish engineer. He improved in 1831 by Robert Stein ( Kilbagie ) developed in 1826, used for the continuous distillation column still (also Coffey, patent or Continuous Still called ). Thus, the first time it was possible to produce large quantities of whiskey cost. This whiskey is called grain whiskey and is the basis for blended whiskey.
