Aeque principaliter

Aeque principaliter ( just as important ) is a Latin term used by the Roman Catholic Church to mark a merger of two or more dioceses. To avoid questions about the position of power, the dioceses are given as equally important. Such a merger is often followed by a merger in persona episcopi.
